Senior Developer

Tick Logic develops automated trading software for Investment Banks and Brokers and Fund Managers. Our software implements execution strategies for traders, directly placing orders on exchanges and reacting to market changes within tens of milliseconds. Robustness, reliability and usability are core requirements.

We are looking for a first class software developer with the ability to create systems that deliver sophisticated functionality to demanding users and who have the dedication required to create world class products. The work we undertake is technically and intellectually challenging and requires significant innovation. You will need strong communication and organizational skills and be able, on occasion, to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Apart from strong object-oriented programming skills which are a prerequisite, you should be comfortable working with the following technologies:

• .NET Framework: C#/VB.NET, some C++
• Interfacing to libraries using C/C++, Java Native Methods, Windows API & COM
• Transaction Processing and Concurrent Systems
• TCP/IP

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with significant expertise and experience that would allow them to make a substantial contribution in one or more of the following areas:

• Architecture and Design: particularly of high reliability, reactive control and high-performance distributed systems
• User Interface and Interaction Design
• High Performance Concurrent/Transactional Processing
• Econometrics and Computational (Bayesian) Statistics especially in relation to market micro-structure models
• Knowledge engineering and automated inference
• Development management

Previous exposure to financial markets and financial market technologies such as:

• Trading Systems: FIX Protocol 4.0+
• Market Data Systems: Reuters, Bloomberg, GL

would be helpful but is not required.
